Milana is a Masters student in Human Nutritional Sciences Department in University of Manitoba. Her research project is Bioactives in Human Milk.

Milana has a B.Sc degree in Biotechnology and Food Engineering, acquired in Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Andre Dias

My name is Andre Dias and I am first year masters student under Dr Ahmed El-Sohemy at the University of Toronto. The aim of my project is to examine how genetic variation affects subjective and objective measures of salty and fatty taste. Further I am interested in how this modifies consumption behavior and potentially health.

Bibiana Garcia-Bailo

Bibiana grew up in Spain, moved to the United States to attend university, and has lived in Toronto since 2008. She has a a Master’s degree in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Massachussetts at Amherst. She became interested in nutrigenomics through her work as a lab technician at Tufts University, in Boston. Amanda Naaum

Chair

Amanda is currently pursuing an MSc degree in Integrative Biology at the University of Guelph. She is working on food traceability and authentication with Dr. Robert Hanner and Dr. Nick Low.

Megan Rose

Communication Officer

I have completed my B.Sc. degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Biology at the University of Ottawa and I am currently working towards my PhD in Cellular and Molecular Medicine (CMM) at the same institution under the supervision of Dr. Maxwell Hincke. My research project involves dietary peptide- and amino acid-based interventions to improve human gut health and immunity.

Andrea Stone

Communication Officer

Andrea is from Saskatchewan where she grew up on a grain farm. In the spring of 2010 she obtained her B.Sc. from the University of Saskatchewan with a major in Food Science and a minor in Nutrition. Andrea is now a Research Technician for Dr. Mike Nickerson at the UofS. She is currently working on salt reduction.
