Lipid mediators are now recognized to influence a broad swath of biology from inflammation to allergy, immunity, cardiovascular diseases, cancer and behavior. New and unexpected biological functions, biosynthetic pathways and receptors are being revealed for lipids as appreciation of their complex interactions with protein and DNA grows. The conference will feature a broad range of distinguished researchers presenting their work in this expanding field and providing a comprehensive view as to what lipid mediators do in the body. Examples of novel therapeutic opportunities will also be discussed.
